HAINZL custom systems require many disciplines
At HAINZL, many hands are engaged before a new system is put into operation at the customer’s site. A wide variety of disciplines and departments are involved, and the work of automation, mechatronics, fluid technology, and all the others contributing must be precisely coordinated.

“The projects we are commissioned with are becoming increasingly networked and demanding, both in terms of the digitalization of the systems and the mechatronic structure of the systems,” says Florian Piesl, Sales Group Manager at HAINZL Systems Engineering.

HAINZL uses various project templates to standardize processes and pass on lessons learned from previous projects.
“We use Projectworx for planning and processing our customer and service projects as well as for active collaboration. For example, in weekly stand-up meetings. All project data – whether customer requirements, technical decisions or costs – is well documented in a central location.
SAP integration: from quotes to time tracking
“In addition to resource planning, we were pleasantly surprised by Projectsworx’s time tracking,” adds Hofrichter. “It is much simpler than our previous ERP solution and easy to use for all employees. Since the project activities to be recorded are already assigned during resource planning, there are no misunderstandings. Everyone knows what they are scheduled for and can book quickly. In addition, thanks to the SAP connection, the hourly confirmations go directly into the accounting system.”
HAINZL’s SAP system and Projectworx already communicate with each other during the quotation phase. Quotations and orders with their key data are automatically transferred to Projectworx, where projects are generated using standard templates. Planned resources and project hours are transferred back to the ERP system for invoicing. The processes have been designed to work for both project-oriented departments (posting to projects or service orders) and day-to-day departments (posting to cost centers).
