Thanks to the consistent booking to tasks, up-to-date comparisons of target and actual hours can be realized at any time – an ideal basis for resource planning and project controlling.
Time recording options at a glance
Projectworx offers you several options for recording project times and times from day-to-day business. You decide which method is best suited to your requirements.
The input screen in the time recording module is particularly suitable for quickly entering and controlling project times over a period of time. To avoid incorrect bookings, employees can – if desired – only see the tasks or activities assigned to them.
For all employees who prefer to organize their tasks in the calendar, time booking is also possible via this view. Assigned tasks are displayed on the right-hand side so that you can drag them directly to the correct day slot. Times for activities outside of defined tasks can also be entered via the calendar.
Practical for order processing and agile working – time booking directly in the ticket or task. Additional fields can be added to the time recording dialog if required.
Integrate the stopwatch for time recording directly into your start screen. The dashboard can also display upcoming tasks and an overview of working hours per day, week or month, for example.
Employees in production or in the field like to use the Projectworx app for quick and uncomplicated time recording and a compact overview of their tasks. Depending on their authorization level, they also have access to project lists and protocols.
Record absences and take them into account in resource planning
Know when your employees are available at all times. By maintaining absences in Projectworx, your resource planning is always up to date. Time recording and resource planning interact with each other. In cases of resource shortages in already planned projects, plans are not automatically rescheduled. This allows the project manager to make appropriate adjustments to the planning.

The combination of resource planning and time recording brings further advantages: The hours actually recorded can be compared with the hours requested. Hours not worked are automatically carried forward into the future and increase capacity utilization there. In this way, work that is planned but not carried out is identified more quickly and capacity problems are avoided.
PROJECTWORX is a very open system and offers exports and imports to other systems such as MS Excel. In addition, there is of course the option of integrating tools such as SAP via an interface. This means that time recording corresponds directly with billing processes. An example of such integration can be seen in the screenshot provided.
Projectworx time recording is very efficient. The time saved per employee is around 30 to 40 per cent compared to the old systems.
